The Medical Fitness & Wellness Exercise Programs consists of three specialized areas:
Cardiac Rehab Exercise Program – This program is designed for those who have history of heart attack, bypass surgery, angioplasty, heart transplant, stable angina or congestive heart failure and have completed a monitored Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. By participating in this exercise program, one can maintain those benefits they’ve attained during Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation, improve heart and lung function, modify cardiac risk factors, reduce stress and improve physical fitness.
Diabetes Exercise Program – This program is designed for those diagnosed with Type I or II diabetes and have their blood sugars already under control with medication and/or diet.
By participating in an exercise program, these patients can help improve their blood sugar control, reduce body fat and promote more efficient use of insulin. They also can help decrease their cardiac risk factors, which many times go hand-in-hand with diabetes.
Post-Rehab Step Down Exercise Program – This program is designed for those who have recently completed a course of physical rehabilitation, but have not reached their optimal goals and desire to maintain their current progress and work on further advancement. In this program, individuals can not only further develop their physical therapy exercises, but also work on other health issues, such as weight loss, balance and cardiovascular endurance.

Exercise can:
• Increase endurance
• Decrease stress
• Maintain or increase strength and range of motion gained in rehab
• Improve balance and coordination
• Increase independence
• Improve flexibility and decrease chances of injury
• Improve psychological well-being and self-esteem
• Decrease weight

Program Features:
