Through a $2,000 grant from Delta Dental, Somerset Medical Center's ProKIDS program conducted dental health programs for 626 students at 10 elementary schools in Central New Jersey during the month of February, which was designated as Children�s Dental Health Month.

Programs also were conducted at the Community Development Corporation of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Franklin Township and the Children�s Museum in Bridgewater.

ProKIDS is a free, school-based health education program provided to schools in Central New Jersey by the Community Health Department at Somerset Medical Center. The program is an innovative collaboration among hospital health educators, school nurses and teachers. It is generously supported by the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies through a grant to the Somerset Medical Center Foundation.
